OSG Uniform Policy

UNIFORM RANGE: 

The ‘Academy Uniform’ range has been developed to provide a total package. It is therefore expected that the range will be implemented in it’s entirety and not mixed and matched with alternative items.

FOOTWEAR: 

Shoes are to be regular black leather or synthetic school shoes. Suede shoes, boots, joggers, sand shoes and leisure shoes are not acceptable. Shoes are to be purchased separately. Sports shoes/ joggers should only be worn for sport and PE activities.

BELTS: 

For boys - Black leather to match shoes.

GARMET CARE: 

School uniforms should be clean and presentable. Torn or badly damaged garments that cannot be mended should be promptly replaced. All items of clothing (especially outer wear) should be labeled with the students name.

SKIRT LENGTH: 

The specified lengths for each of the girls lower garments are as follows:

  • Summer Dress - 10-15cm below the knee mid point.
  • Winter Dress - 10-15cm below the knee mid point.
  • Sports Skirt - Required length is to the knee, except for sports skirt with leggings.

SOCKS AND TIGHTS:

  • Summer - Girls: white ankle or knee-high socks. Boys: black socks.
  • Winter - Girls: black tights or knee-high black socks. Boys: black socks.
  • Sports - Girls: white ankle socks. Boys: short white socks.

TOKENS AND HEADCOVERINGS: 

Tokens should be worn by girls when travelling in public; walking to school, traveling on public transport, school excursions.

A variety of items suitable for tokens is included in the uniform range; navy, white or burgundy bows, ribbons and scrunchies.

These are the only items acceptable for wearing as tokens. Feathers, flowers and other large items are not appropriate for wearing as tokens at school.
